A registered sexual predator is in custody for attacking a woman Tuesday at Arrowhead Lake in Johnston City.

The Johnston City Police Department says 42-year-old Noel Kennon was taken into custody late Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the incident at Arrowhead Lake occurred around 12:15 p.m. Kennon is accused of approaching the victim, wrapping his arms around her, telling her to be quiet and he had a knife. The woman fought back and escaped, got back to her vehicle and called 911.
