Acclaimed Novelist Laura Benedict is a southern Illinois based writer.  Her latest work, Bliss House, was just released.  She is a self-described author of "dark suspense."  

In this edition of In the Author's Voice, WSIU Radio's Jeff Williams talks with Benedict about her new book and how she got started writing scary novels...

Laura Benedict is also the author of DEVIL’S OVEN, a modern Frankenstein tale, and CALLING MR. LONELY HEARTS and ISABELLA MOON.

Bliss House is now in bookstores. 

Laura Benedict is scheduled to take part in a book signing on Saturday, June 28th at the Bookworm in Carbondale from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  She is also scheduled to appear at the Carbondale Barnes and Noble on Saturday, July 19th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
