Street Machine Nationals Fairly Quiet for Police

Logo

Speeding and squealing tires seemed to be the biggest issues facing law enforcement at this past weekend's Street Machine Nationals in Du Quoin.
Illinois State Police released preliminary information today (Mon), praising those involved with putting on a safe, family-friendly event.

Troopers say they issued 24 citations, nine of which were for speeding and seven for squealing tires.

They say there three alcohol-related arrests, but no DUI's. There was one non-alcohol related arrest.
