Residents in east-central Illinois may have felt a bit more than the rumble of thunder Tuesday morning.
The US Geological Survey says an earthquake with a preliminary three-point-eight magnitude struck near Albion, Illinois at about 6:47am.
Hundreds of people – including residents in Evansville, Indiana say they felt the quake. Thunderstorms were rumbling across the region at the same time, causing some to think it was just strong thunder.
No damage or injuries were reported.
