'Journey to the Sun' Talk at SIU to Focus on Space Weather

The "Journey to the Sun" talk series will continue with "Space Weather: The Sun-Earth Connection."

The "Journey to the Sun" talk series will continue with "Space Weather: The Sun-Earth Connection."

The presentation will be by Peggy Hill, a Solar System Ambassador for NASA and a retired professor of physics at Southeast Missouri State University.

Hill’s “Space Weather” talk will discuss how the sun’s geomagnetic and radiation storms caused by the sun can disrupt the lives of humans.

The free talk is on Friday, December 6 at 3 p.m. at the Guyon Auditorium in Morris Library.

The monthly talk series will continue through April, and each one will be streamed online.
