A virtual presentation on The Great Horned Owls of Forest Park by award-winning naturalist Mark Glenshaw, is being offered on Thursday January 12th from 7 to 8 pm. The event is sponsored by Shawnee Group Sierra Club.
Mark H.X. Glenshaw, an award-winning naturalist, will present on the Great Horned Owls of Forest Park, which he began observing in December 2005. His ongoing research into these owls has included spending 100s of evenings observing them, leading Owl Prowls, and giving talks on his research for groups across Illinois and Missouri.

The Olney Central College Community Band will begin its 18th season this spring. This is an opportunity for people high school age and up to be part of the OCC music family. The OCC Community Band will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays in Room 216 of Wattleworth Hall, beginning tomorrow, Jan. 10. The group will present its annual concert in May.
