In Carterville, John A. Logan is offering a one day OSHA standards course to help employers teach employees the value in working safely. This one-day course will cover many important topics and will be held at John A. Logan’s main campus,Wednesday, January 18th and is FREE! Pre-registration is required.

Representatives of the Sponsor Circles who have helped Afghan families settle in Carbondale will speak at the Southern Illinois Learning in Retirement meeting on Wednesday, January 18 at 10:30 a.m. After the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, numerous Afghans who had assisted the U.S. in Afghanistan were at risk and fled their country. The U.S. sought sponsors who would help the Afghans transition to life in the U.S. The meeting, free and open to the public, will be held at Grace United Methodist Church
