In Marion, the Chamber of Commerce Foundation is hosting the 2-Person Bass Tournament at Pyramid Acres Marina on Lake of Egypt on March 12th. In Pope County, The River-to-River Trail Society announces its 2nd public hike of the season on March 11th. This hike at Dixon Springs Bluff Trail/Red Dog Trail will be a hike of moderate difficulty, 5-6 miles in length 4-4.5 hours hiking time. Hikers should meet at 10:00 am at Shelter #2 Dixon Springs State Park. This hike is intended for people in good health who have done some hiking. Hiking sticks and boots or sturdy shoes are recommended. Hikers should bring their own water and snacks. No dogs please. This will be a loop hike. The hike leader can be reached at 270-331-1553 for more information. Check the post on the River-to-River Trail Society website www.rivertorivertrail.net for more information. including driving directions to the meeting area for this hike.

Humane Society of Southern Illinois invites you to a fun night of Sit-com Trivia to support the needs of their animal shelter.
