In Carbondale, Registration Open for Beautiful Southern Ride. Bicycle riders can sign up for the Beautiful Southern Ride, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Carbondale Breakfast. The ride will be held on Saturday, April 1, starting and ending at Carbondale Middle School. There are 3 routes to choose from, each marked and with rest stops.

In Hardin County, The River-to River Trail Society announces their next free guided hike on April 8th. Hike the Ripple Canyon Camp Cadiz with hike leader Steve Melville (314-223-3061) Meet at Camp Cadiz at 10:00 AM. All hikes are open to the public free of charge. No reservations are required. Hikers should bring their own water and a snack. No dogs, please.

The Egyptian Area Agency on Aging continues to offer a Memory Café at the First Presbyterian Church in Carterville every other Thursday from 9am-11am.  For anyone wanting information on the Memory Café, upcoming health promotion classes, vaccine clinics, or any other service question related to older adults or caregivers, you can call our office at 618-985-8311 or your local senior center.
