In Marion, join the Race for Life 5K to support the local Fighting Cancer Today organization which aids cancer patients and caregivers in the region. The race is April 15th from 3 p.m.-7 p.m at Ray Fosse Park. Spectators are also welcome to enjoy activities and vendors at the event.
The Friends of the Shawnee National Forest, along with the U.S. Forest Service and Illinois Extension hosts a trash blast Friday, April 7 from 1-3 p.m. at Ripple Hollow along the Union/Alexander County line.
