Crab Orchard Public Library is inviting you to learn about alpacas on Friday, June 30th from 11am – 1pm.  See the Burks Family Alpacas up close and even feed them.  Learn more by visiting www.craborchardlibrary.com

In Alto Pass, Rendleman Orchards is celebrating their 150-year anniversary of the family farm on Wednesday at 3pm. They will mark the sesquicentennial year, with a Bell Ringing Ceremony. This event will commemorate the rich past but will also ring in a new era of growth and prosperity. You’re invited to join them as they open their 150th season to the public.

In Murphysboro, The Jackson County Historical Society presents A Reading of the Declaration of Independence. The National Society of The Sons of the American Revolution Long Knives Chapter will read the powerful words which led our formal separation from Great Britain. Join them Saturday at 6:30pm at Riverside Park Bandshell.

KC Hall In Herrin Wed June 28th Donate Blood from 12:30 to 5pm.

And in Anna, you’ll find the Wellness on Wheels Van make a stop at Shawnee Community College Extension Center on July 5th from 9 to Noon and 1 to 3pm. Free Health Services and Screenings are available by contacting the Southern 7 Health Department.
