In Marion, WSIU invites young people and their parents/guardians to visit the Spring ‘24 Southern Illinois News Bureau kickoff to learn about and to register for the bureau. This innovative program will equip young people with the skills to produce compelling audio and video stories while deepening their understanding of local issues and encouraging active participation in civic life.

Save the Date for the Second Annual Saluki Ball. It will be on Saturday, April 20 at The Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk Hosted by Chancellor Austin Lane & Mrs. Loren Lane. The Saluki Ball is dedicated to raising funds that bridge the financial gap for students.

Indie Lens Pop-Up, presented by ITVS, INDEPENDENT LENS, and WSIU/Carbondale Public Library will host a free dinner and screening of the critically-acclaimed documentary “Breaking the News,” featuring a community discussion about better media coverage of diverse issues and perspectives.
