1892 – Representatives of the Knights of Labor and the United Mine Workers meet in St. Louis with 20 other organizations to plan the founding convention of the People’s Party. Objectives: end political corruption, spread the wealth and combat the oppression of the rights of workers and farmers.

Local 773’s Volunteer Organizing Committee (V.O.C) is currently collecting canned soup for Heaven’s Kitchen and the Fowler-Bonan Foundation. Please bring your donations to Laborers’ Local 773 located at 5102 Ed Smith Way Marion, IL 62959. In Marion, compete in the inaugural Midwest Cornhole Clash sponsored by the Laborers Care Foundation. The event is expected to become the highlight of the Midwest's cornhole calendar. Players and sponsors are invited to join the fun at Mountain Dew Park on Saturday, April 27th. Teams and sponsors are filling up fast.
