In Mt. Vernon, The 58th Annual Popcorn Pete Children's Variety Show will be held on Friday, April 26th & Saturday, April 27th. Four performances of “Popcorn Pete’s Family Reunion” will be held at Mt. Vernon Township High School Theater.
The show will feature Guardians of the Galaxy, Barbie, Scooby-Doo, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and more. This is a mutual fundraiser for MVTHS Special Olympics and MVTHS Drama Club. The Earth Day All Species Puppet Parade takes place on Earth Day, April 22 at 5:30pm at the Carbondale Town Square Pavilion. Observers and participants are welcome. If you want help making a puppet, attend a puppet-making workshop on Saturday April 20th from 10am to Noon. Create puppets of your favorite species in preparation for the parade.
