This week in labor history, MAY 201926 – The Railway Labor Act takes effect today. It is the first federal legislation protecting workers’ rights to form unions.

We have 2 special events coming up for our members on Saturday, June 1st!
Saturday evening at 7pm, members are also invited to join us at in the Diamond Club VIP event room at Mt Dew Park where the Thrillville Thrillbillies will take on the Full Rhythm Count. Free food and VIP game tickets are included with vouchers. June 1st will also be Party Like a Rockstar Promo Night! Vouchers for the VIP event can be picked up at Laborers Local 773 between 7am and 4pm M-Thurs.
The Union Sportsman’s Alliance is sponsoring Take a Kid Fishing Day! Local 773 members and their families are invited to Herrin City Park from 9am to 1pm for free fishing. The first 200 kids to register will receive a free fishing pole and bait to fish with. The pond is stocked and there will be free food, free events, and lots of happy kids!
