Rend Lake hosts a series of “Leave No Trace” educational events this week. Learn through fun activities tomorrow and Friday. The clean-up will take place during Rend Lake’s Annual Beach Blast, a day of safety and fun in the sun from 12:00 -4:00 pm. This Saturday at South Sandusky Beach. Beach Blast includes the best of beach day activities ranging from beach games, a DJ with family-friendly music all day, a sand sculpture contest, food vendors, and more.  In Carbondale, The Black Chamber of Commerce of Southern Illinois hosts the 2nd Annual Juneteenth Block Party. There will be vendors, music, live entertainment, games and more. June 14th from 5 to 9pm at 309 East Jackson Street.  The Marion Carnegie Library invites you to a Willy Wonka-themed scavenger hunt throughout the library to win a prize and kick off Summer Reading! This event is Wednesday, June 5th from 4 to 6pm.
