5:30 pm Cocktail hour, will feature a photo retrospective and speakers

In Makanda, the Southern Illinois Pagan Alliance celebrates the longest day, the shining sun and all its growth and fertility with its Summer Solstice ritual, Sunday, June 18 at Giant City State Park Shelter 4. The gathering begins at noon. Ritual at 2 p.m. A potluck will follow. Suggestions are available on SIPA’s Facebook page, but a potluck item is not mandatory. Bring what you’d like to share.
SIPA rituals are free and open to the public. // Ample free parking is available at Shelter 4. Carpooling is encouraged. Please bring a friend. Well-behaved pets are welcome. Take Illinois 13 to Giant City Road. Turn south away from Carbondale Super Walmart and keep going until you get into the park. Shelter 4 is the first shelter on the right.
