The 2024 Sunset Concert Series in Carbondale kicks off its 45th Anniversary season tonight. See John Primer on Shryock Lawn at 7pm. Enjoy free outdoor concerts Thursday evenings through July 25th and alternate locations between Turley Park and Shryock Lawn.

 
Fishing 101 for Adults Program at Giant City State Park on Saturday, June 15th from 6-7:30 pm MAKANDA, IL – Are you interested in learning the basics of fishing but you’re not sure where to start? Join local Urban Fishing Coordinator, Ethan Taylor Stephenson, as he shares tips on fish identification, baiting, lures, and casting. This program will take place during “Illinois Free Fishing Days.” No fishing license is required June 14th -16th. All gear and bait will be provided!
