This script reading and full 15 piece orchestra review is brought to you in partnership with Illinois Arts Council and Artspace 304 Southern Arts Fund. This original musical was written by Army Veteran and wife team, Henry and Deanna Deiters, directed by Navy Veteran, Tim Robinson, with musical orchestrations and conducting by Derek M. Hamblin. All artists involved in this musical from creation to performance are living and working in Southern Illinois.

The City of Carbondale, Southern Illinois Collaborative Kitchen, and the Carbondale Branch of the NAACP invite members of the community to attend the Carbondale “At the Table” Dinner & Dialogue series on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 at the Carbondale Civic Center. Representatives from the African American Museum of Southern Illinois will briefly discuss how they serve the region and the significance of Juneteenth while capturing the overall goals of the Healing Illinois initiative.
