The 2024 Sunset Concert Series in Carbondale continues its 45th Anniversary season tonight. See June 20: The Cody Sisters | Folk & Bluegrass | Turley Park at 7pm. Enjoy free outdoor concerts Thursday evenings through July 25th and alternate locations between Turley Park and Shryock Lawn.

 In Marion, join a guided morning walk in an old growth forest located in Southern Illinois at the Otey-Grisley Forest Nature Preserve. July 20 10-11:30am. Learn what makes the location so special, the plants and animals that live here, and what role people have played and will continue to play in the future. The Effingham Farmers Market provides our community with FRESH, locally-grown food, art, and quality artisan goods... produced right here in our hometown! The market is open to the public, every Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the historical Effingham County Courthouse Square. Enjoy live music (as scheduled), food vendors, and shopping the market, of course!
