In Carbondale, SIH is hosting a barbershop conversation series. The first meeting is tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. at Arnette's Barber Shop, 108 E. Oak St., Hear health topics about financial resources and a conversation with Dr. Don Arnold II about prostate cancer.

In Carbondale, Molly McCormack will perform songs on the mountain dulcimer for the August 21st meeting of Southern Illinois Learning in Retirement gathering. The presentation is free and will provide music and a brief history of the unique instrument. Coffee hour begins at 930, presentation at 1030 at Epiphany Lutheran Church on Aug. 21st.

In Anna, The Shawnee Hills Arts Council encourages artists to show their patriotism and enter the Constitution Week Art Exhibit September 8 – 29, 2024.
