Locally,

SIU School of Music and SIU Opera Theater present The Little Prince February 7-9th at Shryock Auditorium. The well-loved children’s story of a prince whose journeys take him to Earth and beyond. Shows are at 7pm on Friday and Saturday. 2pm on Sunday.

 
The Herrin City Library is offering a new after-school program called STEAM Explorers. Kids are invited to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. Engineering Paper Planes is the first program which is today from 4:00 - 5:00 pm. Upcoming events will be announced on the library Facebook page as well as their website at www.herrincitylibrary.org The program, free and open to the public, is best suited for kids ages 6 -12.
 

On Sunday, an Evening Prayer Service led by Pastor Brian Coffey at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Carbondale. The service features members and guests of the New Arts Jazztet beginning at 6pm in person or streaming at the Jazz Vespers Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/JazzVespersatEpiphany
