The City of Carbondale Hosts a Public Interest Meeting to discuss the proposed changes to the rental housing section of the Carbondale Revised Code (Title 4, Chapter 4). The meeting is tonight from 5:30-7pm at the Carbondale Civic Center.

In Marion, you’re invited to Salukis in Thrillville night next Tuesday, June 17th at Mtn Dew Park. Enjoy a night of family-friendly fun, Saluki spirit, and community pride with the Thrillville Thrillbillies as they take on the Alton River Dragons. Attendees can meet the 2025 Saluki Football team and Coach Nick Hill. Tickets include free food for SIU Alumni and their families.

John A. Logan College will host its fourth annual Juneteenth Celebration on Wednesday, June 18, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the College campus. The event will feature food, live entertainment, special guests, and a community gathering to honor the significance of Juneteenth. There will also be art vendors, storytelling, poetry, and a raffle. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for comfort during the festivities. The Juneteenth Celebration at JALC is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend and take part.
