ON THIS DAY in 1959 Hawaii becomes the 50th state of the United States
The Du Quoin State Fair kicks off tomorrow and runs through Labor Day. The Twilight Parade is at 6pm and you’ll find a large variety of family fun through Labor Day. Carnival rides, Free Entertainment, Car Races, Horse Racing and Grandstand concerts. Plus, WSIU can be found in the roundhouse each day with information and freebies.

Carbondale United is hosting Violence Interrupters Training. This training is designed to equip individuals with the skills to mediate conflict, promote peace, and reduce violence within our neighborhoods.
