The 3rd annual Davey Dome Glow honors architect, professor, and past Fuller Dome president Jon Davey, who began the tradition of displaying intricately carved pumpkins inspired by architectural wonders. Today, the Dome Glow continues that spirit with pumpkins that surprise, inspire, and go beyond the ordinary. Experience the Glow this Saturday from 6:00 PM – 9:00pm at Bucky Fuller Dome Home, 407 S. Forest Ave., Carbondale.
In Jackson County, The River to River Trail Society announces its 5th public hike on Nov. 8th at Giant City State Park. This hike is free and open to the public. This hike is approximately 6 miles taking about 4 hours hiking time. Hikers should meet at 10:00 am at the Giant City Visitor Center. This hike is intended for people in very good health who have done some hiking. Hiking sticks and boots or sturdy shoes are recommended. Hikers should bring their own water and snacks.
