Heaven's Kitchen to host Free Breakfast with Santa & Gift for Every Child
Date: This Saturday
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Location: Being held at the New Hope Christian Academy, 540 North Commercial (Rt 45), Harrisburg, IL
Families are invited to enjoy a delicious breakfast, and visit with Santa, and participate in a magical Christmas experience. Every child who attends will receive a gift from Santa’s Workshop, thanks to generous community donors. No registration required and open to any child.

This Saturday, The Southern Illinois Pagan Alliance (SIPA) invites you to celebrate Yule, at the Gaia House Interfaith Center in Carbondale.  We approach the longest night and the shortest day of the year, as the wheel of time winds slowly back toward warmer days ahead. This is a free public event open to all ages.  All are welcome.  Saturday, December 13 Doors open at 6 p.m. with the ritual to follow at 7 p.m. A potluck will follow and everyone is welcome to enjoy event if you can’t contribute a dish. SIPA will have its (usually) twice-a-year Fundraising Raffle!  Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the event and you do not have to be present to win! Everyone who donates items to the raffle will also receive a free ticket. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. Gaia House is located at 913 South Illinois Avenue at the intersection of Grand Avenue across from Southern Illinois University. The General John A. Logan Museum invites the community to its annual Christmas Stroll, happening Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 1613 Edith Street in Murphysboro. The museum’s historic neighborhood transforms into a winter wonderland, filled with holiday sights, sounds, and flavors for visitors of all ages with singing, puppet show, demonstrations and more.
