Buckminster Fuller’s Design and Possibility on Friday, December 19th at 2:00 pm in the Herrin City Library Meeting Room. There will be a panel of speakers. The event is presented by the Herrin History Room and is free and open to the public

The City of Carbondale is lit up beautifully this time of year with residents adorning their homes with lights and decorations of all kinds- and we want to celebrate these efforts with our “Let it Glow” Holiday Lights Decorating Contest!
From now until December 22, submit photos of your outdoor Holiday decorations at your place of residence to contest@carbondaleil.gov. Please include your name, address, and telephone number to contact you at. A map will be created for a drive tour with all the entries submitted. The winner will receive a $50 gift card to Cotton’s Ace Hardware Store.
