SIU Book/Vinyl and Media sale is April 12-13

Treasures and hard-to-find items will be discovered when the Friends of Morris Library and WSIU Radio host a massive public sale at Southern Illinois University Carbondale in April.

The book/vinyl and media sale is April 12-13 in the Morris Library basement. The sale will run from 4 to 8 p.m. April 12 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 13. Admission is free both days. Proceeds of the sale go to purchase materials and support the library’s mission and WSIU Radio. Only cash and checks will be accepted.

Hardcover books are $1 apiece; paperback books, 50 cents apiece, and vinyl albums, $1 apiece. Prices will vary on coffee table, art and photography books, as well as boxed set items. The classic vinyl and media sale will feature a variety of vinyl records and CDs ranging from classical to classic rock, along with a wide selection of DVD movies. A limited assortment of audio equipment and sound components will also be available.

One of the highlights will be numerous books from SIU Press and the Trovillion Private Press, a Herrin publishing company operated by the late Hal and Violet De Mars Trovillion.

The sale will also feature varied books including:
