Former Saluki Xavier Johnson to play pro ball in Spain

Former Saluki guard Xavier Johnson has signed to play professional basketball in Spain.

Johnson had a remarkable senior season for SIU, averaging over 22 points and six assists per game.

He was invited to play in the Summer League with the Dallas Mavericks.

He signed to play with Gipuzkoa in Spain. The Spanish League is considered one of the best in the world outside of the NBA.
