With a 100% job placement rate for students within a year of graduation, Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s master’s degree in communication disorders and sciences has a proven record of preparing students for the national certification exam and rewarding careers in speech-language pathology or related fields. As the program prepares for continued accreditation, it is hosting a special public meeting.

The meeting is set for Nov. 18 from 4 to 4:45 p.m. in the Communications Building, Room 1007, 1100 Lincoln Drive. No registration is required, and there is no cost to attend.

Organizations say it is a great opportunity to learn more about SIU’s program, ask questions, offer input and meet visitors from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Council on Academic Accreditation (ASHA/CAA) in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

For more information about SIU’s program, visit the website or email denisecroft@siu.edu. Additional information about ASHA/CAA and its accreditation and policies is available on the ASHA/CAA website.
