Next week on April 16, SIU Carbondale's Salukis Care Day will bring fun and relaxing activities to campus.
Undergraduate Student Government and Counseling and Psychological Services are collaborating to connect students with mental health resources while providing an opportunity to de-stress.
SIU students can enjoy inflatables, a photo booth, arts and crafts, and refreshments at Faner Plaza from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They can also paint temporary tattoos, make chalk drawings and messages, create affirmation bracelets, help make a "dream wall", color, and more.
Students can also get acquainted with local law enforcement officers while enjoying a free popsicle during the "Cops with Pops" event.
CAPS will host an Ask Your Counselor panel in Rooms 150 and 160 of the student services building. Praying Pals will also be available throughout the event’s duration.
In addition, USG is funding all CAPS appointments from April 14 to 18.
