SIU’s Paul Simon Public Policy Institute will host a virtual discussion with journalist Philip Shenon, focusing on his book Jesus Wept and the new papacy of Pope Leo XIV.

The event, part of the “Understanding Our New World” series, will explore challenges facing the Catholic Church. Shenon, a former New York Times reporter, will speak with institute director John Shaw.

This virtual meet is free and open to the public on May 28 at 10 a.m. Registration is required at paulsimoninstitute.org/events.
