Southern Illinois University Carbondale will mark Constitution Day with a panel on federal versus state education issues.
The discussion, “Education and DEI Initiatives: State vs. Federal,” is set for Wednesday, September 17, from noon to 1 p.m. in Morris Library’s Guyon Auditorium. Faculty panelists include political science professors Benjamin Bricker and Tobin Grant, law professor Cindy Buys, and moderator Sheila Simon of the SIU School of Law. The event will focus on recent federal mandates on education and diversity initiatives and how they impact state-level policies.
The program is free and open to the public, with free pocket Constitutions available.
