SIU Day Brings 800 High School Students To Campus

More than 800 students from 19 area high schools will experience Southern Illinois University Carbondale in action during SIU Day on Wednesday. From 9:45 a.m. to 2 p.m., students will explore campus through academic breakout sessions, tours, and hands-on activities in labs and studios. Programs will showcase everything from glass blowing and dance to aviation and automotive technology. Faculty and staff will guide students as they learn about SIU’s resources and opportunities. The event kicks off with a welcome in the Student Center Ballroom, followed by sessions across campus and closing remarks in the afternoon.
