A former player and coach with the Southern Illinois Miners will lead the new Prospect League team that will call Rent One Park home this year.
Rent One Park Tuesday named Ralph Santana the team's Field Manager and General Manager.
Santana's coaching staff will include Pitching Coach Lane Dickerson.
Santana also announced seven players who will suit up this season. They include pitcher Kale Cameron and infielder Josh Griffin, both from Marion; infielder Alex Zimmerman of Du Quoin and outfielder Ryan St. Ledger from Albion. Other players from outside the region are Dylan Drumke of Libertyville, Andrew Schroeder of Mundelein and Charlie Corum of Versailles, Kentucky.
Other staff members involved with the franchise will be Jackson Wiseman as Entertainment and Promotions Director; Jennifer Lee as Community Relations Director; Lauren Surprenant as the Manager of Partnership and Sales and Hettie Goins as the head of the Box Office.
A new team name will be announced in early February.
