De Soto Man Wins Lucky Day Lotto Jackpot

Illinois lottery officials say a retired SIU Police officer from De Soto is the person who won $750,000 dollars in the Lucky Day Lotto drawing last month.

The lottery presented Steve Rishel with a ceremonial check Thursday at the 4-Way Quick stop in De Soto where he purchased the winning ticket.

Rishel says he plans to share his winnings with his family as well as pay off his mortgage and buy a new bass boat.
