The Second Annual Makers Madness contest is down to the eight coolest things made in Illinois.
The Illinois Manufacturers Association had more than 300 products nominated for the title of the coolest thing made in the state.
Voters have narrowed it down to the top 8 products ranging from candy, lip ointment,griptape and more.
IMA CEO Mark Denzler say this year they’ve had more than 240 thousand votes in the contest.
“It’s an opportunity for us to show products made in every corner of the state, the large the small and all the different sectors and then really highlight the industry employees about 568 people in factory force today.
