An SIU leader has been nominated for a statewide panel focusing on clean jobs.
Governor JB Pritzker tapped SIU Foundation Development Director Kevin Clark to be on the state's Clean Energy Jobs and Justice Fund.
The Fund helps raise money and other capital for renewable energy projects, particularly minority-owned businesses and those serving underrepresented populations.
In addition to his SIU Foundation position, Clark is a managing member and co-founder of Serenity Data Security. He is a commissioner on Carbondale's Sustainability Commission and a board member with Jackson Growth Alliance.
Clark holds three degrees from SIU Carbondale. His nomination is subject to Senate confirmation.
