Illinois invests in Israel in the wake of the Hamas terrorist attack

Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs announced his office will invest 10 million dollars in Israel in response to the terrorist attacks there last weekend.

Frerichs said the decision was made by communicating with Israeli partners to assist them after the disaster.

Frerichs' office has invested over 10 million dollars in Israel bonds since 2015, which he said has helped form a partnership between the two.

The Gaza Strip is currently under complete siege from Israel, which is responding to a terrorist attack from Palestinian militant group Hamas.
