Winter Weather Advisory in effect

The region is under a Winter Weather Advisory that could impact your morning commute.

The National Weather Service in Paducah says most of the quad-state region could see a glaze of ice Monday morning due to freezing rain and drizzle expected through around 9:00am, and as temperatures get above freezing that should begin to get better.

More freezing rain is possible in the far southern portions of our region Monday night, and cold temperatures are expected through the week.

Former WSIU Associate Director of News and Public Affairs Jennifer Fuller joined Capitol News Illinois in July 2023 as the organization’s broadcast director.
