Waller Seeks Change of Venue

The attorney for Clay Waller is seeking a change of venue to move the murder case away from Cape Girardeau County.
Waller is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his wife, Jacque.  The 39-year-old mother of triplets disappeared June 1. Her body has not been found.  The Southeast Missourian reports defense attorney Chris Davis filed a change of venue motion Thursday, claiming Waller cannot get a fair trial in Cape Girardeau County due to intense media coverage. The children of Clay and Jacque Waller now live with Jacque Waller's sister in St. Francois County.  Clay Waller is already serving time in a federal prison for threatening his wife's sister over the Internet.
