Venomous Snake Accidents Do Not Always End Up Bad

As Illinois moves into full reopening after over a year of the COVID-19 shutdown, more people are exploring nature. As a result, more encounters with venomous snakes are likely. SIU Associate Professor Joshua Vossler, and author of the book "Snake Road: A Field Guide to the Snakes of LaRue Pine Hills", says there is a good chance hikers may not end up in the hospital after encountering a venomous snake in the wild.
