Carbondale Elementary School District 95 is taking to social media to dispel a rumor that the district will not follow Governor J-B Pritzker's recent school mask mandate.
Officials say this is merely a rumor and not accurate.
In fact, they say District 95 had universal masking provisions in place, even prior to the Governor’s mandate.
Carbondale Community High School is also following the governor's mask mandate. The high school's return to school plan will require masks for all students, staff, and visitors.
Each student will be provided with a cloth mask and disposable masks will be available at every entrance.
