The Cape Girardeau Airport may soon have a new provider.

After reviewing three commercial air service proposals, the Airport Advisory Board is recommending Contour Aviation as the region’s next provider.

The recently submitted proposals included Contour Aviation, Boutique Air, and Southern Air.

Contour's proposal includes a 30 seat jet with two flights per day to Nashville.

Boutique and Southern offer smaller single engine planes with four flights per day to Nashville.

The Airport Board says flying with Contour is easy with an American Airlines ticket/bag agreement and Contour also boasts high recommendations from each current service city.

In March, SkyWest announced it intended to terminate service in Cape Girardeau but will continue flights until new airline service starts.

The Cape Girardeau Regional Airport serves over 240,000 people living within a 40-minute drive.
