The head of SIU Track and Field and Cross Country is leaving Carbondale to take the same position at her alma mater, Ohio State University.

Rosalind Joseph returns to Columbus following a four-year run with the Salukis.

Under her leadership, the SIU women’s teams captured four runner-up finishes at the Missouri Valley Conference indoor and outdoor track and field championships while the men finished as high as third. A total of 10 Salukis earned All-America honors.

This is part of a significant shake-up in female coaches at SIU.

Last month, Danielle Kaufman resigned as the director of Saluki Golf and and the school's all-time winningest coach Kerri Blaylock officially retired from Saluki softball in May after stepping down in March for health reasons.

Also in March, Cindy Stein retired as the women's basketball coach.
