An EMT-B class will start next month in Alexander Co.

The Alexander County Ambulance Service and Shawnee Community College are teaming up for an EMT-B Class.

Participants must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or GED.

The class is happening on Saturdays starting on August 6 and running through December 17 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Horseshoe Lake Fire Department on Highway 3 in Olive Branch.

Registration is underway at the Alexander County Ambulance Service or at Shawnee Community College -- contact Leslie Cornelius-Weldon at 618-634-3491.
