The Carbondale NAACP is partnering with other local organizations to host annual events to honor and remember the Reverend Martin Luther King Junior this weekend.
An MLK "Love Train" is scheduled for Saturday along Route 13, with cars beginning the caravan at 11:00am in Harrisburg, and stopping in Marion, Carbondale and Murphysboro.
The annual MLK Scholarship Breakfast will feature Illinois Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton, who will speak at the SIU Student Center on Monday.
