Bucky’s turning 130, and we’re celebrating!
Join us for the Fuller Dome Home Birthday Block Party, Saturday, July 12th from 5 to 9 PM, as the mayor kicks off the evening with a proclamation making it officially Buckminster Fuller Day in Carbondale, Illinois.
We’re closing down the streets at Cherry and Forest, the city’s bringing the fire truck, and you’re invited to a unique event celebrating creativity, community, and Bucky’s visionary spirit.
Enjoy live music from Beth and Pocky, Loose Gravel, Bite Risk, and The Acumen closing out the night, featuring a special live version of “Roam Home to a Dome.”
Bring your friends, your chairs, coolers, water bottles and your support. And bring the kids for a bubble experience, sidewalk chalk, a piñata, and more. Enjoy dome tours led by board members, plus a peek inside the new Visitor Center before it’s built out.
This is a community fundraiser supporting the programs and stewardship of the Fuller Dome Home, a landmark of imagination and possibility in Southern Illinois.
