Take 6 has been in the recording studio to work on their first-ever treatment of a set of songs from such composers as Gershwin, Ellington, Holiday, Berlin, Brubeck and more!

Identifying songs that have transcended genre and become those termed timeless, classic, standard, gives the group the creative opportunity to bring their brand of "classic and timeless" to this material.

As Quincy Jones said of Take 6 "thy are the baddest vocal cats on the planet," this collection pairs them with some of the "baddest songs on the planet!'

The multiple Grammy award winning group pays tribute to both the music and the artists that made them famous. Take 6 crosses most musical genres, from Jazz to Pop to R&B to doo wop and Blues. Take 6 has been inducted into The Gospel Music Hall of Fame.

Take 6 will take the stage at Salem Evangelical Church on March 8th.

High school students and those younger may attend at no cost. Likewise, faculty, staff and students from John Wood Community College, Quincy University and Culver-Stockton College may also attend free of charge with the presentation of their school ID.
