Carbondale Organizations Kick Off Gun Violence Awareness Month

June is Gun Violence Awareness Month and Carbondale will be home to a number of events to support the cause.

Friday June 2nd, Carbondale United is hosting a live Facebook event with CYF Violence Interrupters and Reality Allah. The event is from 6 to 7pm. On Saturday June 3rd, Women for Change is hosting The Big Event with a Unity March and celebration. The lineup is at Rockhill Baptist Church at 11am and participants will march to Attucks park beginning at 11:30. The celebration begins at Attucks Park until 2pm.

Enjoy family-friendly activities, face painting, bouncy houses, food, entertainment, and live speakers. Admission is free and all are welcome.
